Victory C.A.R.E.S. Socktober Contest – Official Rules
1. Sponsor and Administrator
1.1 Sponsor
Victory Wealth Services (“Sponsor” or “Firm”), an Arizona state‑registered investment adviser, is sponsoring public awareness of the contest but is not administering the contest or providing the prize.
1.2 Administrator / Donor
The Traeger Smoker prize is donated and fully administered by an unaffiliated nonprofit organization (“Administrator”). The Sponsor has no control over the contest mechanics or winner selection.
1.3 No Relation to Advisory Services
Participation in the contest is not tied to advisory services or client relationships. No purchase or investment service relationship is required or gives preferential treatment.
2. Eligibility
2.1 Who May Enter
Any individual 18 years or older residing in Arizona (or U.S. if applicable), except where prohibited by law.
2.2 Exclusions / Ineligible Persons
Employees, officers, directors, or supervising persons of the Sponsor or their immediate family, or persons with material supervisory or decision-making roles in the contest administration, are ineligible to win. Residents of jurisdictions where the contest is prohibited or restricted are also ineligible.
3. Entry Period & Method
3.1 Entry Period
The contest runs from October 1 through October 31, 2025 (inclusive).
3.2 How to Enter
For each pair of socks donated to participating drop-off locations, the donor receives one (1) contest entry. Donation must be made during the Entry Period. No purchase, financial transaction, or advisory relationship is required.
3.3 Limitations on Entry
One entry per pair of socks donated (e.g., 20 entries per person). Sponsor or Administrator reserves the right to disqualify suspicious or non-compliant entries.
4. Winner Selection and Notification
4.1 Drawing
One or more winners will be selected by a random drawing from all eligible entries, conducted by the Administrator within 5 business days after the Entry Period ends.
4.2 Notification
Winners will be notified by email, phone, or mail within 3 business days of drawing. Winners must respond within 10 calendar days to claim the prize or risk forfeiture.
4.3 Alternate Winner
If the selected winner does not qualify or fails to respond, an alternate winner may be selected within 5 business days using the same process.
5. Prize
5.1 Prize Description
One (1) Traeger Smoker, model and specifications as donated by the Administrator.
5.2 Prize Pick-Up and Delivery Responsibility
The winner is solely responsible for arranging and completing pick-up of the prize from the designated location. Sponsor and Administrator are not responsible for delivery, shipping, or transportation. If the prize is not retrieved within 30 days, it may be forfeited.
5.3 Taxes and Costs
The winner is responsible for all taxes and any incidental expenses related to retrieval or use. Tax documentation (e.g., IRS Form W-9) may be required by the Administrator or Sponsor.
6. Disclaimers and Legal Conditions
6.1 No Affiliation with Advisory Services
Participation will not influence or provide any advantage in obtaining advisory services. No financial relationship is required.
6.2 Rule Disputes / Jurisdiction
These rules are governed by Arizona law. Disputes will be resolved in courts located in Maricopa County, Arizona.
6.3 Release of Liability
By entering, entrants release the Sponsor, Administrator, and affiliates from liability arising from participation or prize acceptance.
6.4 Privacy / Use of Personal Data
Entrants consent to the use of their name and likeness for promotional purposes. Personal data will be handled per the Sponsor’s privacy policy.
6.5 Right to Cancel or Modify
Sponsor and Administrator may cancel or modify the contest for any reason, including fraud or technical issues.
6.6 Void Where Prohibited
The contest is void where prohibited by law. Rules apply only in jurisdictions where the contest is legally permitted.
7. Compliance Considerations for Advisory Firms
7.1 Disclaimers in Promotion
Promotional materials must clarify that the Sponsor is not administering the contest and that no purchase or advisory relationship is required. A link to these official rules must be included.
7.2 Segregation from Investment Communications
The contest must not be used to promote advisory services or imply any benefit to clients.
7.3 Recordkeeping
The Sponsor should retain all contest records for at least five years.
7.4 Avoidance of Misleading Claims
Avoid promising emotional, financial, or social benefits from participating in the contest or from advisory services.
7.5 Legal Review
These rules and all contest communications should be reviewed by legal or compliance counsel prior to publication.
